JESICAKES
Jessica Rachele was born the most beautiful baby in the world, March 9, 1990.  After a rough start the first few days, things seemed fine for next 3 weeks. At that time my little Jesicakes was failing to thrive. By the time she was 2 months old she was barely 8 1/2 lbs. She was 7 3/4 at birth.  At this time the doctors did a number of test and to our bewilderment she was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. An inhereited disease effecting mainly the LUNGS, PANCREAS, and SINUSES. This disease can be devastating .  The thick mucus  that CF causes the person to have make it hard to ward off lung and sinus infections and make it hard to gain and keep weight on.
As Jessica has grown  and become a beautiful person inside as well as out. She always gives you a smile that melts your heart ,even when she is not feeling well. To those who know Jesi well, know that these kids with CF have a special glow about them that comes from having to fight from within . Jes is always willing to help anyone in need and and puts her wants on hold for others to receive . Now is the time for Jess and others like her to receive. We need to get the word out there that only with research and the funds to do so will this kids get what they deserve. A CHANCE TO LIVE like the rest of us.
I call Jess my Jesicakes because she is as sweet as they come. Dimples and all .
Jes is becoming a beautiful  young lady. She spends her time reading , drawing and playing her video games and playing (or fighting ) with her brother Philip who was born in Sept. 1996. He is negative for the CF. But does well with Jes when she sick.
